About Us Georgian Entertainment was created in 2004 by producers Chris Szarka and Christopher Bolton in order to develop a flagship production, the half-hour comedy series Rent-A-Goalie (created by Bolton). The series premiered on Showcase (Canwest Mediaworks) in the fall of 2006, and its three successful seasons (26 episodes) have gone on to garner 22 industry nominations including 9 Gemini noms. In 2005, producers Raj Panikkar and Matthew Lochner were added to the team. Georgian is based in Toronto, Canada, and supports local arts endeavours, including the imagineNATIVE Film and Media Arts Festival as well as charities such as Sick Kids hospital the James Fund & Canuck Place. |
